Research Interests:
Controlled Release
Microelectromechanical Systems

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Nuxoll’s research centers on the area of controlled release with emphasis on pharmaceutical systems.  The tools used to achieve this release are wide-ranging, from simple polymer monoliths to complex microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), typically designed for implantation.  Interfacing these devices with the body to maintain controlled release despite the body’s immunoresponse is of particular interest.
